One Response to “6. Community Gardens: 1960-present”

  1. A major segment of our work deals with Building Community – and your website is an excellent resource to us.

Thank you very much for your work and effort on behalf of the people of the world.

I’m anxiously awaiting the Premiere of your new page on Community Gardens. The most impressive gardens I’ve visited are in Honolulu – where there is a long waiting list for people for space to open up.

Our firm has sponsored the construction of one garden here in Las Vegas. We funded and constructed it through contributions from the construction industry using our staff for labor. This garden was built for an elderly housing project – and we are currently planning another – for an Early Childhood Development Center that focuses on children from low-income families where English is a second language.
